Contained mainly in the Horse Chestnut (seeds, bark and leaves) Aescin is a mixture of raw saponins, chemically defined as a pentacyclic triterpenes.
Improve blood circulation and microcirculation: increases the strength of the capillaries, decreasing their permeability, responsible for venous stagnation.
The anti-demigenous, capillarotropic and drainage action also has anti-inflammatory properties and a mild antithrombotic activity.
Useful in cases of: peripheral venous insufficiency, varicose veins and postphlebitic syndromes, hemorrhoids, cellulite and capillary fragility.
Aescin is not recommended in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients used in pharmaceutical form. It is also contraindicated in subjects suffering from renal failure, previous hemolytic disorders, generalised oedema of cardiac or renal origin.
