Dandelion

The dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. With its detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties, it is an excellent ally in the treatment of liver diseases.
In the peasant tradition the dandelion is also known as "piscialetto" (wet the bed), an appellative referring to its diuretic properties

The therapeutic use of this plant was not known in antiquity. In the Middle Ages, according to the Doctrine of the Signatures, with a flower being yellow just like yellow bile, it began to be used as a liver remedy.
The dandelion root has detoxifying properties, as it stimulates biliary, hepatic and renal function, i.e. it activates the excretory organs (liver, kidney and skin)
