Polyphenols-EGCG
Powerful antioxidants, able to neutralise free radicals
Epigallocatechin gallate is an important polyphenolic component of green tea. Green tea polyphenols have biochemical properties that inhibit the onset and at the same time the spread of tumours
Epigallocatechin gallate has demonstrated during laboratory experimentation to have an antioxidant action and the ability to interact with protease enzymes, i.e. it protects proteins from being cut by proteases. Proteases are also produced by metastatic cancer cells and degrade certain proteins in the brain in the nervous system. It has also been shown that this substance has an antioxidant power 20 times stronger than Vitamin E in protecting the lipids of the brain, which are very sensitive to oxidative stress.
