Peach
Rich in Vitamin C with refreshing, thirst quenching, diuretic and slightly laxative properties
Its scientific name is Prunus persica and it has been cultivated in China for 5000 years, being considered a symbol of long life and immortality. The peach tree can reach a height of five metres, resistant to temperatures from –18° and up to over 40°C

Peaches have very hard pits in which the seed is enclosed. This seed is rich in a toxic substance, similar to cyanide, which the plant produces to prevent it from being eaten by the animals in order to ensure its offspring.
Rich in water up to 90% and therefore used as a refreshing thirst-quencher and it even has diuretic and slightly laxative properties useful against constipation, kidney stones and cellulite.
An important element is iodine, especially those with white flesh; iodine helps the thyroid function and is therefore suitable for hypothyroidism.
Peaches have an important remineralising and restoring action, thanks to their rich mineralcontent, useful especially in summer.
