Lycopene

Lycopene belongs to the group of carotenoids, a set of violet-yellow pigments very common in nature.
Known for its important antioxidant properties that act mainly against cellular ageing and in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and certain forms of cancer.

Lycopene is absorbed mainly at the intestinal level and its bioavailability increases with increasing temperature. Once absorbed, Lycopene is deposited mainly in the adrenal glands, liver, testicles, breast and prostate.
