L-tryptophan

Combats depression, anxiety and insomnia
Tryptophan is an amino acid present in many proteins of animal and vegetable origin. It is an essential nutrient, i.e. it cannot be synthesised by the body and must therefore necessarily be taken in through food.
It may be contraindicated in cases of kidney or liver problems, pregnancy and breastfeeding
In addition to participating in protein synthesis, tryptophan is the precursor of serotonin, a hormone that acts as a neurotransmitter, controls mood in the brain and causes narrowing of blood vessels. For this reason tryptophan is proposed to improve athletic performance, fight depression, anxiety and insomnia, to help quit smoking and for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and Tourette's syndrome. In addition, tryptophan-based supplements are recommended in cases of sleep apnea, facial pain, severe forms of premenstrual syndrome and bruxism.
