Bamboo

It is currently widespread in Australia and some regions of Africa; in Europe, spontaneous bamboo growth has not been observed.

Bamboo has numerous facets: it is also used in phytotherapy. The leaves are exploited for their emmenagogic, anthelmintic, antispasmodic and potentially aphrodisiac qualities, while the roots are used for their astringent and refreshing properties. The shoots, besides being appreciated in the culinary field, are also used to support the digestion, as a carminative and antiseptic.
